The Story

Over fifteen years ago, while traveling to Mexico City for my uncle's wedding, I had the opportunity to visit opal mines outside the city. It was there that I purchased this beautiful stone directly from the people who mined it. Little did I know it would wait all these years to become something special.

Meet the Tierra Opal Pendant.

Named after the Spanish word for earth, Tierra celebrates the beauty of nature in all its imperfect, unexpected forms. With a captivating mix of soft turquoise, warm peach, and earthy copper tones, this one-of-a-kind Mexican opal is nestled in hand-fabricated sterling silver. An oxidized finish brings depth to the setting, while delicate silver accents and an organic, open design give the piece its distinctive, artisan character.

Finished with an adjustable ribbon necklace, Tierra feels effortlessly earthy, a little bohemian, and entirely one of a kind.

A note on the stone: This opal has a small natural chip on its front surface, present when I purchased it over fifteen years ago. I've intentionally left it as I found it, embracing the character, play of colors, and imperfections that make natural stones so special. This detail is visible in the photographs.
